CFD study on casing treatment in a transonic compressor

This paper introduces an in-house developed 3D N-S solver specialized for the flow field study in compressors.Based on a typical sample calculated for the validation of the code,a 3D simulation of the flow in a transonic compressor with tip gap and casing treatment is performed.The numerical study focuses on the casing treatment with circumferential grooves.The comparison of the influences on the compressor performance of variant groove configurations is carried out.
