A calibration apparatus and a calibration method in a multi-antenna system are provided to calibrate a transmission path by using a reception path of an inactive state during a transmitting process in the multi-antenna system using a TDD(Time Division Duplex) method. A control unit(260) transmits a correction signal received from a correction signal processing unit(270) to DUCs(Digital Up Converters)(240-1 to 240-NT) of a transmission path. The DUCs oversample the received correction signal. Transmitters(220-1 to 220-NT) convert output signals of the DUCs to RF signals. The RF signals are transmitted to couplers(200-1 to 200-NT) through TDD switches(210-1 to 210-NT). The couplers transmit the RF signals through an antenna. The RF signals are coupled by a coupler(272). A divider(274) transmits the correction signals of the coupler to the TDD switches. The TDD switches transmit the correction signals to receivers(230-1 to 230-NT). The receivers convert the correction signals to baseband signals. The baseband signals are transmitted to the control unit. The correction signal processing unit calibrates a transmission path.
