Optimal Design of Wireless Energy Transfer to Multiple Receivers: Power Maximization

The problem of determining the optimal loads for realizing maximum power transfer in a wireless energy link between one transmitter and multiple receivers has been considered and solved by applying the maximum power transfer theorem for an <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">$N$ </tex-math></inline-formula>-port. Simple analytical expressions for the load impedances have been derived and validated through experiments and circuital simulations. These expressions are also valid in the case of mutual coupling between receivers.
