CROSS SECTIONS OF THE $sup 12$C($sup 3$He,p)$sup 14$N REACTION.

Differentical cross sections of the 12 C( 3 He, p ) 14 N reaction were measured at the incident energy of 25.3 MeV. Angular distributions for individual levels showed patterns of the direct surface reaction. Contributions from overlapping peaks were resolved with a computer code. Strong peaks were found at the excitation energies of 9.0 MeV and near 13.0 MeV. These facts are in agreement with other cases of the proton-neutron transfer to 12 C. Comparisons between the reactions of ( 3 He, p ) and of (α, d ) are discussed.
