This paper shows SNR degradation caused by phase-noise of local oscillator in three cases of pilot symbol structures in OFDM scheme and three cases of phase-noise from oscillator instabilities, through experimental results. OFDM signal used in this paper is using 2048 FFT in 20 MHz channel bandwidth. OFDM symbol is using 1538 sub-carriers and symbol length is 0.1 ms. Pilot symbol structures in OFDM signal in this paper are three cases. First, 1st data symbol including pilot carriers is in front of every 2nd data symbol including no pilot carrier, Second, 1st data symbol including pilot carriers is in front of every 2nd and 3rd data symbol including no pilot carrier, third, 1st data symbol including pilot carriers is in front of every 2nd, 3rd and 4th data symbol including no pilot carrier, forth, 1st data symbol including pilot carriers is in front of every 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th data symbol including no pilot carrier. For each case, the effects of various phase-noise characteristics of local oscillator are shown
