The Comments on experts' consultation for the key construction technical issues of Xiaowan Project

Since the Xiaowan Project commenced the bidding design stage from the second half year of 1999, the Lancangjiang Hydroelectric Development Co, Ltd. and Kunming Hydroelectric Investigation and Design Institute had been inventing hydroelectric experts and scholars to execute systematical and comprehensive technical consultation on key construction technical issues for many times. The experts have put forward their professional opinions and understandings on the following aspects: the layout design of cable conveyor, the construction technique of arch dam, the concrete raw materials test and temperature control design, the determination of rock quarry area and quarry construction, the design optimization of construction diversion, the construction of underground galleries, the sub bids proposal for main works, the general progress and arrangements for preparation period of the Project, etc. By the further optimization for the design and research, a series of important solutions were achieved and obviously so that it prompts the design in details.
