Network disaster recovery method and system

A network disaster recovery method and a network disaster recovery system relate to the field of IP communications, and solve the problem of global network breakdown due to a failure occurring at a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) distribution agent device. The method comprises: when failing to process a received service request, a first SIP distribution agent device transferring the service request to a second SIP distribution agent device, where the first SIP distribution agent device and the second SIP distribution agent device not only serve as backup apparatuses for each other but also work normally; and the second SIP distribution agent device processing the service request transferred by the first SIP distribution agent device. The technical solution provided in the present invention is applicable to an SIP network and implements a flexible and reliable backup mechanism.
