Towards a Robust and Accurate CFD/CAA Coupling Procedure for Hybrid Methods in Aeroacoustics: Part 1 - On the Optimization of CFD/CAA Coupled Calculations .

The present work is a part of a more extensive study, which nal objective is the development of a robust and accurate CFD/CAA weak coupling procedure. Within this framework, we focus here on the data transfer that is to be achieved between the CFD and the CAA stages, when the latter are to be weakly coupled. First, we split the data transfer into three successive processes, which main problems are then characterized along with their interactions. A way of minimizing such problems is proposed thanks to theoretical tools especially developed for this purpose and the corresponding illustrations and validations are addressed via a test case of a cross ow over a 2D cylinder of low Mach and Reynolds numbers.
