The invention provides a method and system for the vector control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The method comprises the following steps: establishing a current prediction model of the permanent magnet synchronous motor; calculating by an online parameter identification method to obtain motor parameters; inputting the motor parameters into a current prediction controller, updating the current prediction model in real time, outputting quadrature and direct axis voltage to a PARK inverse transformation module, and controlling the motor through an SVPWM module. Motor current can be more accurately controlled to follow given variation, and the system for the vector control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor has better dynamic performance and static precision.
