Cardiovascular imaging An European Society of Cardiology / European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging task force is examining the appropriate use of cardiovascular imaging in Europe

Purpose of Review This article aims to review the cardiac computed tomography (CT) perfusion techniques and introduce this technology to cardiac imagers who are interested in developing a CT perfusion program in their practice. Recent Findings Cardiac CT is a noninvasive imaging modality that has been widely used as the first-line test for evaluating coronary artery disease. With the development of CT perfusion techniques, cardiac CT perfusion imaging combines both functional and anatomical information and allows the assessment of the hemodynamical significance of coronary stenosis. Different approaches of cardiac CT perfusion protocols have been proposed. Summary Cardiac CT perfusion can provide evaluation of both anatomical and functional significance of coronary artery stenosis.
