A Psychological Model of Air Traffic Control and Its Implementation

In this paper, we describe a model of en-route air traffic controllers' cognitive activities in a dynamic man-machine system. The implementation of the model MoFl (Modell der F luglotsenleistungen) is based on a production system in the programming language ACT-R (Adaptive Control of Thought - Rational, Anderson, 1993).
