Image generating method for around view of vehicl using improved polygon matching

PURPOSE: A vehicle around view video producing method using improved polygon mapping is provided to supply a plane video which is similar to a real video by remarkably improving the video distortion of an outer portion, thereby easily recognizing an obstacle near the vehicle, the approach of an object, and the distance between the obstacle and the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A PC(Personal Computer) or an internal processor of the vehicle sets up a reference coordinate value and produces a reference video(S20,S30). The PC or the processor obtains each distorted video from a photographed check board pattern, detects an edge of the check board pattern within each distorted video, and estimates a plurality of compensation points(S40-S60). The PC or the processor divides each distorted video into a plurality of distortion polygons and maps each pixel coordinate of the distorted video to a reference coordinate(S70,S80). The PC or the processor produces an around view image by the combination of an amendment video and a plane video of the vehicle(S90).
