Cost Analysis for Total Life Cycle of Long-life Asphalt Pavement with Flexible Base

With the pavement project of Kunming-Anning Expressway for example,this paper adopts the total life cycle cost analysis method to make economical analysis for long-life asphalt pavement structure with flexible base and conventional asphalt pavement structure with strong foundation and thin surface and semi-rigid base.The analysis shows that the long-life asphalt pavement structure within the analysis cycle has lower direct cost,the service lifetime can be prolonged by 5~6 times,and the maintenance time and be reduced by 6~9 times with convenience and very small impact on traffic,so a large quantity of indirect expenses can be saved for customers.
