Calculated Spectral Properties of Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O Films

The electronic structure of high-T c superconducting Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O thin films was calculated. On the basis of the results of band calculation, total and projected densities of electronic states as well as X-ray emission OK α and CuL α and photoelectron spectra for each film were calculated. The dependence of the electronic structure and spectra on the number of CuO 2 layers in the unit cell of the films is discussed.
