Manufacturing feature library for the machining process planning Shibaura Institute of Technology Masatake Kanamaru, Koichi Ando, National Institute of Informatics Hendry Muljadi Shibaura Institute of Technology Makoto Ogawa The goal of our research is in the generation of a manufacturing feature based computer-aided process planning (CAPP) system that can manage the dynamic changes in the production stage. For the generation of process plans of a part type based on the recognized manufacturing features, the relation between manufacturing features and their corresponding manufacturing information needs to be made clear. In the paper the authors discuss about the development of a manufacturing feature library where manufacturing feature can be related to their corresponding manufacturing information.
