(TYPE=abstract) Development of training concepts for future chemistry teachers oriented towards a widening of the common perspective on their education concerning experimental and theoretical teaching in chemistry. The principal focus of research: experimental approach elaborating laboratory courses to minimize chemical residues by input reduction and substitution, network of material flows, separate collection and recycling; theoretical approach intended to instruct future teachers how to integrate scientific results into the complexity of nature; methodical approach investigating the significance of computer technology as visualizing aids in the teaching of chemistry. Teachers teach as they have been taught (in theory and experiment) but not as they have been taught to teach.
