A Work-Nonwork Interactive Perspective of Stress and Its Consequences

This paper examines the intersection of work and non-work roles as related to stress, and proposes an integrative framework for understanding the relationships among stressors, stress, and strains in the work and nonwork domains. The sources and consequences of work-nonwork stress are delineated, and directions for future research are identified.
