Feasibility analysis of grid connected mini hybrid energy system in coastal region of Chittagong, Bangladesh

In current world, it is tough to think of a moment without electricity but in Bangladesh, especially in rural areas, power crisis is a major constraint to the advancement. Parki, a coastal region of Chittagong, Bangladesh, has abundance of different renewable energy. This paper presents the model and the economical convenience of a grid connected hybrid energy system for Parki area. HOMER software is used to find out the optimized model via analyzing several sets of system for the available resources. Optimized grid connected model is compared with standalone system and grid to find out the feasible model for the consumers. This renewable resource based grid connected hybrid energy system will be helpful to reduce load demand from the grid and hence the energy shortage in national grid. Besides, renewable energy based energy system ensures the reduction of greenhouse gas by a significant amount.
