A new zero-current-transition two-switch flyback converter

In this paper, a new zero-current-transition (ZCT) two-switch flyback with one auxiliary switch. The auxiliary circuit is added to the primary side and consists of an active switch and a small capacitor and inductor. All switching elements act under ZC condition in the proposed converter and the voltage stresses of the main switches are limited to the input voltage due to the benefit of the two-switch flyback converter. Proposed converter is analyzed and its operating modes are discussed. Simulation results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis. Also, The efficiency curves of the proposed ZCT two-switch flyback converter and its hard switching counterpart are compared.
