Thermal characteristic of the ground source heat pump system with termal storage water tank in the cooling mode

ABSTRAC Based on the results of numeric simulation on the thermal characteristic of Ground Source Heat Pump System(GSHP), a new type of system configuration, ground heat pump system coupled with a thermal storage water tank(GSHHPWT), is brought forward by the author. To make full use of the energy saving potential of the new system, the corresponding operation strategy is also analyzed through numeric simulation. It shows that, when both the new type system configuration and the operation strategy are adopted, it can delay the temperature rising greatly during the heat pump startup period, thus keep the heat pump working in higher efficiency.
