A Low-Loss Board-to-Cable Connector with Stepwise Structures

A board-to-cable connector with stepwise structures is proposed for high-speed and high-density data transmission in this paper. The connector enables electrical connection between plural twinax differential cables and circuit board with good signal integrity. It is designed and fabricated under LTCC technology. Low loss and low crosstalk are achieved over the frequency range of 0-30 GHz, demonstrated by simulation results.
