Structure and Partition Function of Liquid Water. I. Examination of the Model of Némethy and Scheraga

The Nemethy and Scheraga model for the thermodynamic properties of liquid water is compared with the experimental results of Buijs and Choppin. It is shown that the two sets of data do not agree and an explanation for the discrepancy is suggested.
