FINITE ELEMENT NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF BOLT CONNECTION

The bolt connection as one of the main ways of steel connection,has advantages of simple construction,easy demolition and so on.The calculation of bolt connection is in a certain hypothesis conditions in the current code.This article is based on calculation formulas included in code for design of steel structures,it is adopted that finite element analysis method and the software ABAQUS to analyse the behaviours of the ordinary bolt group which are in shear and tensile conditions.Then,the simulation results and the outcome calculated by formulas are compared in order to prove the correctness of the formulas of the code.The paper analyses the behaviours of the bolt group in the case of bearing shear force and torque.At the same time,it is also analysed that the behaviours of the bolt group in the case of tension and moment.
