The International Subarachnoid Aneurysm Trial (ISAT): a position statement from the Executive Committee of the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology and the American Society of Neuroradiology.

The recent publication of the initial data from the International Subarachnoid Aneurysm Trial (ISAT) represents a landmark in the evolution of the treatment of cerebral aneurysms ([1][1]). Endovascular treatment of ruptured cerebral aneurysms with detachable coils was proven superior to surgical
