Medical data, whichareresults ofexaminations performed onapatient, require aninterpretation to allow anassessment ofthepatient's condition. Asa result ofthis interpretative procedure, medical data areconverted intosymbolic descriptions ofthe patient. Itisshownthatcontext-specific fuzzy membership functions andfuzzymembership functions with twofunction parameters arehelpful toacquire asymbolic description ofmostclinically relevant medical data.
