Digital in-band OSNR estimation for polarization-multiplexed optical transmission

We propose fast digital in-band optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) estimation technique using pilot sequence for polarization-multiplexed signals. Its estimation accuracy is better than 0.2 dB in simulation. And, its feasibility is experimentally demonstrated.
