Monolithically Integrated 0.25μm CMOS VCSEL Driver Array for 3.125Gb/s×12 Channels Parallel Optical Interface

A 12 channel vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) array driver chip has been realized in a 0 25μm CMOS technology.The maximum output modulation current of a single channel is over 30 mA.Experimental results show that a single channel has a speed of 3 125Gb/s and a total capacity of 37 5Gb/s can be obtained from 12 channels.
