Fault diagnosis of power transformer based on model-diagnosis with grey relation

After deeply analyzing the relationship between the reason and symptom of the fault, an approach of fault diagnosis based on model-diagnosis for power transformer is presented. According to structure, action and function of the power transformer, symptom set and fault set have been established based on the known knowledge, experiences, and fault examples collected. Meanwhile, as the grey correlation is used for helping to describe the similarity between the faults and symptoms, so the diagnostic conclusion in more detail would be gotten. Even when the fault information that we can get is imperfect and the fault mechanism is not clear yet, the results of diagnosis will be more correct than before. And the examples of diagnosis show that the approach is quite efficient, flexible and fault-tolerant.
