Garbage collection apparatus and method

The garbage collection system and method in an embedded environment, is disclosed. Divided into old generation area consisting of a young generation area and a block of a predetermined number of configuration memory the first and second areas, and for the younger generation by dividing the area in half copy for the first and second areas the garbage performing alternating collection and, gradually performing garbage collection in a frame unit including a predetermined number of blocks for the old generation area. Thereby to minimize the time delay for garbage collection to ensure real-time.
