Simple-Structure LC-Type Multi-Core Fiber Connector with Low Insertion Loss

We demonstrated a single-fiber multi-core fiber (MCF) connector without additional or high-precision parts for rotational alignment. Fabricated MCF connectors achieved low insertion loss of 0.07 dB in average and passed Telcordia GR-326-CORE mechanical reliability test.
