Environment mapping for objects in the real world: a trial using ARToolKit

Real-time image-based rendering techniques for the real environment are proposed. The techniques, powered by ARToolkit, consider an object's reflection, translucency, shadow, shade and color balance under real lighting. Experimental results are also shown.
