Outsourcing Becomes More Complex

Abstract THE IT OUTSOURCING-offshoring trend continues unabated in the United States despite two recent well-publicized decisions that may appear to be counter to the trend: 1. JP Morgan has decided to begin performing many IT functions that it had previously outsourced, and has not renewed its $5 billion contract with IBM. 2. General Electic (GE) plans to sell its $400 million annual revenue India-based call-center business.
