The experiment for refrigerating system using TEM of 100W was conducted to investigate the effect of chamber air flow rate on the refrigerating capacity and COP. The heat transfer at the cold side of TEM refrigeration system is augmented by increasing the air flow rate through the cold side. The inside air temperature variation of the system is smoother than that of vapor-compression type. Three TEMs of total power of 300W were also applied to the showcase refrigerator for cooling beverage with internal volume of 70 liter. Air circulation fan was installed on the bottom of the showcase to investigate the effect of the flow pattern in the chamber on the temperature distribution. The results show that the temperature distribution by forced convection is more uniform compared to that without circulation fan.
