Computer analysis of edge-coupled planar structures

Eigensolutions of the wave equation are computed for interacting multiply connected microstrip structures of arbitrary contour. This is done by the application of Galerkin's method to an integral eigenvalue equation governing the surface current density on the planar metallic configuration. Numerical examples presented concern the coupled microstrip line, concentric resonating rings and a circular disc embedded in a ring.
