Geometrical structure and physical characteristics of a torus are investigated in detail. Newtonian and electromagnetic potentials of the torus are denned at short and long distances. It is shown that torus potential at small distances has attractive oscillator behaviour. Motion of a particle in the torus potential is studied. The inertia tensor of the torus and its dynamics are obtained. Rotating torus whose tip is held fixed by two massless rigid threads and moves in a gravitational field is considered.
