Research on remote test system for protocol testing

In this paper, a remote test system for protocol testing is proposed aiming at resolving some problems of traditional test system, for example high cost of putting test tool and SUT (system under test) in a local network, high complexity of configuration and the low efficiency of test. With the system, test applicant is able to submit the test request remotely, no matter where is the location of SUT. The entire test is carried out using Internet, breaking the limitation of the traditional testing system, which requires SUT is connected directly with testing system in a local area network. However, remote test system might cause some other problems such as additional network delay, packet loss, and the limitation of transmission capability. We also propose some solutions to solve all these problems.
