Multi-Agent Interactions for a Network Management System (Tele-MACS Approach)

This chapter is for the reader who is more interested about Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network management solutions. We will describe the software design methodology that we have adopted for the construction of a multi-agent based network management system. Chapters 3 and 5 have provided some introductory discussions on ATM technology, therefore we will endeavor to provide the reader with a more detailed description of our experience in constructing an agent based network management system for ATM networks.
