The Particle Atlas III

It is our intention in this volume to tabulate all of the background data uscful to the particle analyst. The tables, graphs and charts follow essentiallv the same order as the text material ill Volume 1: light microscopy, electron optical methods and ion microprobe. In addition, there are several tables on the size, weight, surface area etc. of small particlcs. There is also a Section, at the end, of miscellaneous generalinformation of frequent use to particle analysts and impossible to find in one place. A glossary of terms and an extensive bibliography are also ancluded. Finallv, a periodic table especially for particle analysts is printed on the end sheet in the back of the book; besides some of the usual physical data found in most periodic tables, it also includes isotopic abundances, x-ray emission energies and ESCA binding energies.
