Control method of regenerative inverter in current substation

A control method of a regenerative inverter in a current substation is provided to absorb regenerative power generated at a distant position by reducing a reference DC voltage of the inverter according to increment of a regenerative current. A control method of a regenerative inverter in a current substation includes the steps of controlling the regenerative inverter with a standby mode, a first operation mode, and a second operation mode. The standby mode reduces a conversion time when converting a circulating current with the first and second operation modes by allowing the circulating current with a predetermined value. The first operation mode absorbs regenerative power at a distant position and improves an electric damping characteristic of a vehicle by reducing a reference voltage of the regenerative inverter as increasing the regenerative power, and the second operation mode limits an output current of the regenerative inverter and increases overload capacity by allowing increment of a DC terminal voltage of the regenerative inverter to a predetermined portion.
