Prediction of mogas blend distillations can be improved

This article shows how the accuracy of predicting ASTM distillations of blends of gasoline components can be improved by expressing distillations in terms of percent evaporated at specified temperatures, and by using interaction blending equations. This approach does not apply to ASTM end point or to distillation loss. Predictions of end point and loss are discussed briefly. Includes a demonstration of the advantage of using ''percent evaporated'' and an explanation of how to develop interaction blending equations.
