판매시설 건물에서의 연돌효과로 인한 실내기류 문제점 및 해결 방안

Recently, complex commercial buildings(ex, department store) experienced stack effect problems during the winter such as excessive indoor upward flow around escalator areas. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the problems of indoor airflow caused by stack effect in retail facility and to propose solutions for stack effect problems during the cold season. Building manager interview, drawings review, and walk-thru audits were conducted in existing department store. After several meeting, possible solutions and countermeasures in terms of architectural and mechanical views were proposed for reducing problems due to the stack effect. Air-tightness constructions and separation method such as installing an 'air-lock door' around the escalator area on the top floor where problems associated with airflow speed occur, are suggested and evaluated using network simulation program.
