FIDS-A flat-panel interactive display system

The design of a prototype flat-panel interactive display system (FIDS) based on state-of-the-art human-computer-interaction techniques is described. An example application, namely, a text editor using the standard proof correction marks drawn directly on the display, is presented. Software design and implementation are discussed. The use of the keystroke-level mode to evaluate the prototype is considered.<<ETX>>
