Distributions of millimeter-wave cloud radar reflectivity observed over North America and the Pacific Ocean

This paper examines the statistics of 35 and 95 GHz cloud radar reflectivity measured during three experiment campaigns that span latitudes from 62/spl deg/ North to 45/spl deg/ South. Airborne and ground-based measurements were used to generate statistics of reflectivity versus ambient temperature. The reflectivity distributions of ice clouds from three experiments are compared.
