USO, CONSERVAÇÃO E DIVERSIDADE DE PLANTAS AROMÁTICAS, CONDIMENTARES E MEDICINAIS PARA FINS MEDICINAIS NA COMUNIDADE VILA PRINCESA, PORTO VELHO-RO USE, STORAGE AND DIVERSITY OF AROMATIC HERBS, SPICES AND MEDICINAL USES FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES IN VILA PRINCESA'S COMMUNITY, PORTO VELHO-RO

This study aimed to identify, through ethnobotanic al perspective, aromatic herbs, spices and medicinal uses in the Vila Princesa's Community, and relate these uses with the data of the etnossocia l aspects of the population. Structures questionnaires were appl ied to 76 residents, identifying the plants used as medicinal, their therapeutic purpose, the most frequently part s used and the ways there are used. And through spe cialized literature the aromatic and the spices were differe ntiated. In addition, we identified algo the way o f acquiring knowledge about the plants, the level of education and monthly income of the respondents. As a result, we identified 47 species in use in the community, dist ributed in 30 botanical families, with greater repr esentation for the Rutaceae family. The most used parts were the l eaves and most usual method of preparation was the tea. The most frequent diseases were cold and flu. The knowl edge of the medicinal plants has been acquired main ly through parents and relatives. We found as predominant the basic school level (1 st to 5 th grade) and the monthly income of one to two minimum salary(ies).
