Distributed Dynamic Energy Balancing with Broadcast Restrained in ZigBee Network

An Distributed Dynamic Energy Balancing with Broadcast Restrained routing algorithm is proposed. The new algorithm restraints broadcast to restrict min-energy route at the stage of Route Discovery via a new RREQ broadcast strategy based on the depth of nodes. As approaching the purpose of balancing energy distributing,a Distributed Dynamic Energy Balancing Routing algorithm is developed,which can real-time adjust route. At the end of this paper,a simulation of the algorithm is implemented with an appropriate energy model via OPNET. The simulation results indicate that the improved ZigBee routing algorithm can effectively and efficiently prolongs the network's lifetime and balances energy distribution.
