The method of the invention comprises the following steps: after keys, touch screens and other input modules are triggered, the entire terminal is shut down right by interrupting a wake-up processor, a wireless module and other modules related to the wireless access to the Internet after the data is downloaded from the network and the webpage display is updated; and only the function of interrupt response of the input modules is reserved. Accordingly, the invention can prevent the user experience in the access to the Internet from being affected and minimize the power consumption of the entire terminal; moreover, a timer is capable of periodically waking up the wireless terminal in a deep-sleep condition, thus greatly reducing the power consumption of an idle wireless terminal and receiving the important information from the network more timely.
