Weighted collaborative spectrum sensing with different sensing durations

Cluster based cooperative spectrum sensing is investigated to achieve diversity gains and improve the performance of cognitive radio networks. However, the performance of the entire system will be degraded for the non-ideal detecting channels and the non-ideal reporting channels. Considering this issue, we propose a weighted collaborative spectrum sensing scheme with different sensing durations to reduce the impact of the fading channels in this paper. The simulation results and theoretical analysis show that the sensing performance of the proposed scheme can be improved significantly.
