Figure copying tasks are an important element in a number of assessment schemes for the monitoring, diagnosis and assessment of perpetual disorders. They can be very important in evaluating spatial perceptual functioning and related areas of dysfunction, and are therefore very important in characterising, diagnosing and monitoring various neurological disorders. It is possible to address some of these important issues using an image analysis approach, and the authors describe an investigation of the automated analysis of hand-drawn two-dimensional line drawings to develop a technique which uses image analysis to overcome many often experienced. >
