Biased Methods of Discrimination in High Dimensions: A Comparative Assessment

We discuss a project on the assessment of classification rules for high-dimensional data. We start the discussion with a typical example. Some of the existing approaches to classification with high-dimensional data are explained and we show how these methods have been implemented to allow for a comparison on unbiased estimates of error rate. We conclude with a brief discussion.
