Ultimate Strength Analysis on Plane Bulkhead Supported by Inside Deck of Submarine

Using general nonlinear finite element analysis program,ultimate strength analysis on plane bulkhead supported by inside deck of submarine is performed in this paper.The selection of element type and mesh scale as well as solution strategies are explained and the stress distributions on the structure are obtained by means of the foregoing program,and ultimate load-carrying capacity,collapse mode and mechanism of the structure plastic collapse are discussed.The experiment results presented by authors show that the experimental values are in accord with the calculated values.
